One of the challenges of living aboard a boat, traveling in an RV or living and working abroad is how to manage your mail. US Postal Mail can be slow and unreliable. Courier shipments like UPS or Fed Ex are very expensive. Historically there were no good alternatives. That is why in 2006 St Brendan’s Isle introduced Mail Scan Pro (MSP).

If, after selecting the service plan that best meets your needs, you would like to also view and manage your incoming mail online then Mail Scan Pro is for you!
MSP is easy to use, our Proprietary software is time tested and allows you to:
- Receive an email notification whenever new mail is received.
- View your incoming mail online the day it is received.
- View all of your mail via your secure online account manager.
- Manage each piece of mail by clicking on the appropriate tab instructing SBI to Hold, Send, Shred, Scan Content or Archive.
- If you want to read the Contents just click Scan. The contents will be scanned and posted for your reading no later than the next business day.
- Need a shipment…It’s simple…Just click Send on the items you want and then submit a Shipping Request.
- You’ll get an email confirming the shipment details to include the tracking #’s.

- Our proprietary software uses the latest scanning and bar code technology to monitor your mail from the initial incoming scan to the date of your shipment.
- This is done by placing a bar code label on all incoming mail, boxes, and packages
- When you request us to Hold, Send, Shred, Scan Contents or Archive our bar code readers confirm that the action being taken is exactly as you instructed
Archive Your Mail – Don’t need the hard copy we will archive your mail for free.
If you don’t need the original hard copy of a document but want to maintain an image of an envelope or a previously created pdf content scan of that document, just click the Archive button. The image/s will be held in your Archive Folder. Once in the Archive folder you can view and return to that saved digital image whenever you like and for as long as you would like. There are no storage fees for archived mail. SBI will retain the image until you delete it with no additional fees.
